MGA Summer 2022 Schedule

Summer 2022 Skills Clinics: get ready for a higher level of training!

June 27 – August 18th
All sessions are 4 days, Monday – Thursday, 
9:00 am – 4:00 pm, 24 hours per week
Daily Options are available but only Monday or Tuesday 
No half day Options.                                                                                                                                                                                                   All sessions are at Starland Sports in Hanover
Players are expected to bring  or buy their own lunch, extra snacks, and  water.
NOTE: to sign up for daily; you must need to attend Mon-Tues. at least 

Session 1 - June 27- June 30th  - All Skills Beginner & Intermediate
Ages 10 – 18, girls and boys
4 courts divided by position and level
Players will participate in individual skills, game like drills and will culminate daily in games to solidify the skills learned.  Each day will hone in on two specific skills as well as serving.
Players are expected to bring their own lunch, extra snacks and water.
$475. For the week, Or $125 daily

Session 2 -July 5 - July 8,  Advanced All Skills
Ages 14 – 18, girls and boys
2 courts, divided by level.  All Skills daily with a high level of college like drills and play
Technical Systems of offense and defense. Out of system attacking and running complex offense
Especially good for setters and attackers wanting to run a faster tempo.
Defensive players will learn advanced techniques in reading.
Players are expected to bring their own lunch, extra snacks and water.
$475. For the week, Or $125 daily

Session 3 -Jul 11 – 14, - Positional Training
Ages  13 – 18, girls and boys
Advanced High School and college bound Players By Position
Each position will be taught and drilled in detail.
2 courts, divided by level.  All Skills daily with a high level of college like drills and play
Each player will do high level training specific to their position.Players are expected to bring their own lunch, extra snacks and water.
$475. For the week, Or $125 daily

Session 4 - Jul 18 – 21st – All skills Intermediate & Advanced
Ages 13 – 18, girls and boys

Players will participate in individual skills, game like drills and will culminate daily in games to solidify the skills learned.  Each day will hone in on two specific skills as well as serving.
Players are expected to bring their own lunch, extra snacks and water.
$475. For the week, Or $125 daily

Session 5 -July 25- 28, -  Defense School
Ages 12 – 18, girls and boys
Are you a D/S, Libero, OH, Oppo, Middle, or Setter? This clinic will teach you how to read and act, each position requires defense and no one is exempt from playing defense. Get better at it.
There will be two courts specific to D.S’s and Liberos, technique, cues, and reading while aggressively running drills that will make you an explosive player and better defender.
Players are expected to bring their own lunch, extra snacks and water.
$475. For the week, Or $125 daily

 Session 6 - Aug 1 – 4, - Setters Academy

Lead Coach: Fabian 'Fabe" Ardila, Babson College
We will have three levels of players, Beginners, Intermediate, and Advanced.
Ages 12 – 18, girls and boys
Proper setting technique, exercises to gain strength, and lots of reps.
Setters will learn and become proficient in setting, 1’s, shoot’s, go’s, back 1’s, slides, red’s…
OoS setting will be the main focus for the afternoons during game play as it is close to 70% of the game.
Players are expected to bring their own lunch, extra snacks and water.
$475. For the week, Or $125 daily

Session 7 - Aug 8 -11, - Attackers 
Ages 12 – 18, girls and boys
Get better at attacking by getting instruction on technique and form. Jump higher with correct form and learn to swing faster so you can hit harder.
Learn to hit from any position on the court, especially OoS balls.
This is a tough and grueling clinic with 100’s of reps each day
Players are expected to bring their own lunch, extra snacks and water.
$475. For the week, Or $125 daily

Session 8-Aug 15 – 18, - High School Pre-Tryout Clinic-

Lead Coach: Anthony Elizondo, USA HP
8th – 12th grade Girls
This clinic is specific to getting players ready for their High School try-outs to become competitive and make the team. Whether you are looking to get on Varsity, JV, or making the freshmen team, this clinic will get you ready.
Mornings are dedicated to learning and getting proficient in every skill.
Afternoons will be game like events to make you competitive.
All day, players will be getting a lot of reps learning how to serve with power.
Players are expected to bring their own lunch, extra snacks and water.
$475. For the week, Or $125 daily

Get Set Evening High School Varsity Team Clinic and NEW Middle School option. 
August 15th – 18th, 7:00 – 9:00 pm

Get Prepared to Attend Summer MGA Clinics

Parents: we will follow all MA state guidelines regarding COVID 

Players: good idea to come prepared so you aren't too sore!

Daily Workout:

  • 50 Crunches
  • 100 Russian Twists
  • 20 side crunches on each side
  • 25 push ups
  • 15 lunges
  • 20 squats
  • 15 jump squats
  • 3 One minute planks
